Born in Madrid in 1979, he began his career as a DJ in 2000. Since then, he has offered his characteristic musical style to the electronic scenes of Spain and Europe. In 2009, he began his residence with the Barcelona promoter, FACT. Over these 5 years of residence, his musical style evolved on stage, performing across the globe, including Australia, Germany, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Portugal, England, Italy,… sharing Booths with artists such as Carl Craig, Guy Gerber, Marco Carola, Saun Reeves, Matt Tolfrey, Lee Curtis, Ryan Crosson, Pete Tong, Fatboy Slim and many others. Throughout this period of his musical development in DJ booths worldwide, little by little he discovered the sound that most closely suited his personality and style– experimental, minimalist, dub, avant-garde and exponential. At this point, he decided to break out with his own record label publishing around the world, only on vinyl. Monoclap is the name of the label and it is based on an organic and purist style that aims to bring out the most underground side of each artist. Here we share launchings with such artists as Crocodile Soup, Jessica Diaz, Andreas Bergmann, Nina Soul, Claire, Lifer, and others.
Roberto Martin anxiously awaits 2015 and the launching of the first Monoclap showcases across Europe and with mini-tours in South America and Europe that are sure to strengthen his artistic figure within the underground music scene.
2015 is also the year in which many of the studio’s productions, both digital and vinyl, will see the light in labels such as OMGR, Art In U, Monoclap, and others.
